President’s Message
Greetings, I am Shauna Graves-Robertson, the proud President of Upsilon Beta Omega Chapter (UBO), of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® (AKA). In 1994 UBO became the first and is still the only chapter of AKA in the state of Utah. For nearly 30 years we have lived up to our charge to be of “Service to All Mankind.” Our light has shone bright as we have collaborated with community, city, county, and state. We have supported educational groups, church, civic and other Divine Nine organizations. We are an award winning, highly educated, group of women who take the lead and set the pace for others to follow.
As we press toward our third decade of helping our fellow man, we are delighted to roll out the international program initiatives of our newly installed President and CEO Danette Anthony Reed. Under the umbrella of “Soaring To Greater Heights of Service & Sisterhood,” UBO will seek to Empower Our Families, Build Our Economic Wealth, Enhance Our Environment, Advocate for Social Justice and Uplift Our Local Community.
